Adding Stocks

Use this page to add a new stock to your portfolio. After adding the stock to your portfolio, you will be prompted to enter the number of shares you hold. A list of the stocks already added to your portfolio appears in the grey box at the bottom of the page.

To add a new stock to your portfolio, follow these steps.

  1. Enter the symbol of the stock you wish to track and its exchange code (for example, BCE-T, BCE-N). Valid exchanges codes are: T-Toronto, M-Montreal, X-Canadian Venture, D-CDN, N-New York, A-American, Q-Nasdaq, Q2-Nasdaq-OTC. You can add multiple stocks at once, separated by a space.
  2. Click the down arrow below Short Sell to indicate whether you would like to be able to short this stock (Yes or No).
  3. Optionally, you can enter comments related to this stock.
