Canada lags in provision of ‘daddy leave'
Canada is in the middle of the pack when it comes to the generosity of government-sponsored parental leaves that encourage fathers to share child-care responsibilities with mothers in industrialized countries, according to an international study released Saturday.
France and Spain allow both parents to stay at home – and return to their prior jobs, or comparable jobs – until their child's third birthday, the Washington. D.C.
