Total hit with setback in oil sands

CALGARY — In the latest delay to hit Alberta's oil sands, Total SA says its long-stalled Joslyn mine is to be pushed back again, as environmental scrutiny of the region intensifies. French supermajor Total had expected regulatory hearings for the $9-billion Joslyn project to start in the first half of 2008, but those are now seen happening toward the end of this year.
