No pop for Sprott as trading begins

After unexpectedly dropping nearly 7 per cent in a disappointing debut Thursday morning, shares of money manager Sprott Inc. managed to poke their way back up briefly – and only briefly – to $10.01 on the Toronto Stock Exchange just before noon, 1 cent above their issue price. Instead of delivering the kind of opening pop often seen with initial public offerings, Sprott's shares fell as far as $9.
