SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- NewBiiz.com, an online retailer of PC hardware and software, announced today that it is partnering up with girl gamers and a variety of manufacturers to host an online auction benefiting the Starlight Children's Foundation. NewBiiz will be auctioning off numerous products from manufacturers including Thermaltake, Logitech, Palit, Antec, Gigabyte, Biostar and Audio4Fun.
The auction will be hosted on eBay through eBay Giving Works, which facilitates nonprofit listings, and administered by the licensed nonprofit organization Mission Fish. eBay Giving Works assists sellers to donate either a portion or all of the proceeds to a nonprofit organization of their choice.

Girl Geek, hosted by NewBiiz, was launched in July 2008 to promote women's presence in the male-dominated PC and gaming industry. One of the featured products was donated by featured Girl Geek Ciji Thornton, also known as StarSlay3r in the Guitar Hero community, who will be sponsoring an autographed Guitar Hero controller with a custom skin for this charity auction event.

The Girl Geek Charity Auction kicks off September 3rd, 2008 on eBay and runs through the end of the month. Users can now bid online at the Starlight Children's Foundation's eBay Giving Works page for these items and 100% of all the proceeds will go to benefit the Starlight Children's Foundation.
