TORONTO, Nov. 2 /CNW/ - Each year, approximately 20 million Canadians are affected by digestive disorders. Overall, digestive disorders cause over 18 million sick days, represent 10 per cent of hospitalizations and costs the Canadian health care system over $18 billion annually.

To highlight the issues surrounding digestive disorders in Canada, the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation, with support from Danone Canada, will be presenting the results of a comprehensive prevalence and impact study in a press conference at the first annual National Digestive Health Summit.
