WINNIPEG, July 4 /CNW/ - MTS Allstream has restored service to the telecommunications site at Notigi Lake in northern Manitoba, 110 kilometres north-west of Thompson, which was damaged by fire on Sunday, June 28, 2009. Normal telecommunications services to Lynn Lake, Leaf Rapids and South Indian Lake have resumed.

Communications to the three communities were originally disrupted when the fire destroyed the buildings, diesel generators and microwave equipment at the Notigi Lake site.

MTS Allstream is cooperating with the Office of the Fire Commissioner and the RCMP in an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire.
