BROSSARD, QC, Dec. 17 /CNW Telbec/ - Cogir Management Corporation, administrator of, among others, Place Portobello, in cooperation with the City of Brossard and the Alphonse Lepage Foundation is organizing this Saturday a fund-raising event to help the victims of a major fire that took place last week in Brossard. The event will take place in Place Portobello on Saturday, December 20 from noon to 4 p.m.

Many volunteers will be on hand to receive donations of money, food, clothing in this shopping centre which is located at 7250 Taschereau Blvd. in Brossard. The fire took place right behind the centre and some 100 families lost everything in the blaze.

"This is a tremendous tragedy and, as a good corporate citizen, we must help them rebuild their lives", said Cogir President, Serge G. Duguay. "We must do all we can to help them", he added.

On top of providing space to receive donations, Cogir Management Corporation has given an amount of $1000 which will be distributed to the families.
