CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 5, 2009) - Coast Mountain Sports, a corporate banner of The Forzani Group Ltd. (TSX:FGL), Canada's largest retailer of sporting goods, is proud to be the presenting sponsor for the fourth annual Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation Gala Dinner and Auction. This fundraising event supports the Kunde Hospital and the Sherpa People of Nepal. The Black Tie Gala will take place at the Calgary Fairmont Palliser Hotel on November 6th, 2009 at 6:00pm; special guests attending the event include:

The live auction item, 'The Ultimate Outdoor Adventure Package,' includes a tent as well as his & her sleeping bags, snowshoes, trekking poles and expedition packs. Funds raised will continue to support the enduring legacy Sir Edmund left behind. His indomitable spirit lives on through this foundation, whose mission is to assist the Sherpa people of the Everest Khumbu region of Nepal by financially supporting the Kunde Hospital, education, literacy and reforestation.
