VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 24, 2009) - Mr. Dan Eyde, director of ZEOX Corporation (The "Company" or "ZEOX") (TSX VENTURE:ZOX)(PINK SHEETS:ZOXCF)(FRANKFURT:ZED), announces that the Company's CEO, LuVerne Hogg, has resigned from the Company in most capacities, but will continue to serve on the board of directors of Nanostructured Minerals Corporation in which ZEOX holds a 49% interest.
The Company has appointed Mr. Garold (Gerry) Spindler as its new CEO and Mr. Michael Shea as CFO, effective immediately. Additionally, the Company has commenced preliminary discussions with Imagin Minerals regarding a potential merger. The Company will keep the public informed as matters progress.
Gerry Spindler is founder and owner of Imagin Minerals. Mr. Spindler was previously CEO of UK Coal. Prior to UK Coal, Mr. Spindler was CEO of Cyprus Amax Coal Company, a $2 billion subsidiary of Cyprus Amax Minerals, and was also the CEO of Pittson Coal Company. Additionally he is the 2008 Recipient of the Erskine Ramsay Metal Award of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration and has served on the Board of several public and private companies.
Michael Shea is a corporate finance executive with 25+ years of experience and successful track record of executing capital market transactions including mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and restructurings. Mr. Shea is currently Managing Director at Silvermine Advisors, LLC, a boutique investment bank focused on M&A and capital raising. Prior to Silvermine, Shea was Director of Leverage Finance for Citigroup where he raised capital for private equity funds. Prior to Citigroup, Mr. Shea was Senior Vice President at ABN Amro focused on raising capital for corporate restructurings. Shea was also Managing Director/Co-Head for Fieldstone Private Capital's Aviation Group and Bank of America's Transportation Group. Mr. Shea has completed over $15 billion of bank financings, $7 billion of fixed income issuances and $2 billion of M&A transactions.
