CLEVELAND (Business Wire) -- Hitachi Medical Systems America Inc. is providing their Oasis users - at no charge - RAPID™3D and RADAR™ Spin Echo and Balanced SARGE along with the ORIGIN 2.0 software upgrade.
RAPID 3D provides multi-directional acceleration for parallel imaging. This will enable users to take advantage of higher acceleration factors, and greatly enhance Oasis's dynamic breast and abdominal imaging capabilities.
RADAR Spin Echo and Balanced SARGE add to Hitachi's already industry-leading motion compensation imaging technique. Users can acquire motion-free images in all planes, all coils with a variety of tissue weighting including T1, T2, and IR suppressed; meaning entire studies can be acquired using RADAR.
Additional pulse sequences, clinical capabilities and workflow enhancements are part of the Origin 2.0 software release.
“The Imaging Center has been quite pleased with Oasis from the beginning,” said Dr. Howard Harper, Owner and Medical Director at The Imaging Center in Lawton, OK, “but with the recent installation of Origin 2.0 software the Oasis has exceeded my expectations. Breast imaging is greatly enhanced, and the RADAR motion compensation technique provides great flexibility and the capability to acquire complete motion-free studies throughout the body, and now we can even acquire entire abdomen studies without asking patients to hold their breath.”
One of the most important differentiating features of Hitachi's customer support program is its regular provision of no-charge software upgrades, which drive new levels of image quality, clinical capability and throughput.
