Best Buy Co., Inc. is set to open its largest Manhattan-area store at 10 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2009. The 48,000 square-foot store, located at the corner of 14th Street and 4th Avenue, is expected to add more than 400 local jobs. As part of the grand opening celebration, Best Buy will present a total of $10,000 to two local non-profit organizations: Union Square Partnership, which will fund a new project in the area, and Safe Horizons. | ||

The store will feature a week of activities to celebrate the grand opening, including a CD signing Friday, Nov. 13 with Grammy Award-winning band Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi will be promoting their latest album, The Circle; the first 500 fans to purchase the CD from selected Best Buy stores in Noho, Chelsea or Midtown Manhattan will receive a wristband, which grants access to the Union Square CD signing. |
