WEST BEND, Wis. (Business Wire) -- RESTAT, one of the nation's largest privately-held Prescription Benefits Management companies, announced that David R. Kwasny, R. Ph. has been appointed as President effective Wednesday, April 1.
Kwasny currently serves as RESTAT's Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He replaces Michael W. Clark, who served as RESTAT's President since 1996 and recently announced his retirement, which is effective today. Clark will stay on as an advisory board member with The F. Dohmen Co., RESTAT's Milwaukee, Wis.-based parent company.
A registered pharmacist for more than three decades, Kwasny joined RESTAT in 1997 following an extensive career in community and operational pharmacy management. Kwasny previously worked in leadership roles with The Kmart Corporation, Health Care Pharmacy Providers, ScriptCard and Pro-Vantage.
“Mike Clark has worked tirelessly to grow RESTAT into one of the strongest prescription service providers in the nation,” Kwasny said. “We will build on that successful legacy with an aggressive plan to continue our strategic growth, generating innovative cost containment solutions on behalf of the more than six million people who rely on RESTAT for managed pharmacy services.”
In addition to Kwasny's appointment, two other executive team changes announced by RESTAT today will take effect April 1:
- Terry G. White, R. Ph. - Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing – After 14 years at CVS Caremark, most recently serving as Vice President of Sales & Account Services, White joins RESTAT. White's professional experience dates back two decades with extensive experience in the PBM marketplace.
- John P. Bergan, Chief Operating Officer – Bergan assumes his new leadership role after working as RESTAT's Vice President of IT & Operations since 1997. He brings more than 25 years of industry experience as a leader in operations and project management.
“In the coming months, RESTAT will make significant announcements regarding new investments in technology, infrastructure, and personnel,” Kwasny noted. “For now, suffice it to say that RESTAT's core mission remains focused on constantly seeking out more efficient, less costly ways to provide vital healthcare products that in turn lead to the best possible positive patient outcomes.”
