Winners' Payoffs: A Wedding and a House

19:30 EDT Saturday, July 19, 2008

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Business Wire) -- The two top winners on this week's show plan to take the significant steps of financing a wedding and a house. The grand total won this week was $127,500. The show aired statewide Saturday, July 19, 2008.

As do most brides, Tisha Waber, a newlywed from Simi Valley, incurred some debt from her recent wedding. "It was a beautiful beach wedding, but like most weddings, it was expensive," explained Waber after her recent win on the Big Spin. Waber was actually lucky enough to spin the wheel twice. Her first ball landed in the "Triple" spoke and her second ball landed in the "$25,000" spoke. She plans to use her $75,000 prize to payoff wedding debt and maybe even buy a new car.

The second big winner of the day was Consuelo Perez of Pomona who beat out nine other contestants to get to the Big Spin wheel. Perez, a machine operator, was eating at a Chinese food restaurant when she decided to buy a Big Spin ticket from the self-service terminal. She says she's planning to pay off her house with her $30,000 prize.
