13:40 EDT Friday, April 06, 2007

DALLAS/FT. WORTH, Texas (Business Wire) -- Jerry Airola, president of Silver State Helicopters, will be hosting a career opportunity seminar in Fort Worth on Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m. The seminar will be held at the Meacham International Airport at 4701 North Main Street Hangar 44 N.

Airola, who will be speaking at the seminar, will educate local residents about the exciting benefits of becoming a professional helicopter pilot. Potential students will have a chance to meet Certified Flight Instructors as well as get an insider's look at the aviation industry. The seminar will last approximately 90 minutes and there is no charge to attend. The media is welcome.

There is currently a major shortage of qualified helicopter pilots available in a field that is expected to grow as much as 60% in the next 10 years. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, there has been a 13 percent to 17 percent decrease in commercial helicopter pilots since 1994. Silver State Helicopters is filling that void in communities across the nation.

Silver State Helicopters was founded in 1999, and is a full-service commercial helicopter operator with flight and air traffic control academies. Operations include search and rescue, air ambulance, aerial tours, photography, law enforcement air support, agriculture and fire fighting, along with many other services. Silver State Helicopters has operations at more than thirty locations in fourteen states as well as overseas. Silver State Helicopters is the largest flight academy and the fastest growing rotorcraft company in the world today.
