Hot income trusts keeping IPOs alive

The amount of money raised in initial public offerings in Canada slumped 35 per cent during the first half of 2003, according to a survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.The survey released yesterday indicates that the popularity of income trusts is about all that has been keeping the IPO market alive.
