CHICAGO, May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Ibbotson Associates, a leading provider of asset allocation knowledge and tools, today announced the appointment of Scott Wentsel, 43, to lead the company's fund of funds investment management business. As Senior Portfolio Manager, he will be responsible for oversight of the firm's investment management process and staff. He will also be a member of the firm's investment policy committee. The fund of funds business constructs and actively manages fund of funds products for financial institutions.
"Scott Wentsel brings more than 20 years of investment industry experience to Ibbotson Associates," said Michael Annin, managing director. "His expertise and managerial skill will be a tremendous asset to the company as our investment management business continues to expand."
Prior to joining Ibbotson, Mr. Wentsel was an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley where he worked primarily on the Van Kampen Investments asset management business. While at the firm, his management responsibilities included product research, management, development and marketing. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Wentsel worked for thirteen years at Scudder Kemper Investments in the company's mutual fund business.
Mr. Wentsel earned a Masters of Business Administration degree with honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. His areas of concentration were finance and statistics. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois. He is also a Certified Financial Planner(TM) certificant.
