MDA lands contract for Vancouver Games

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. landed a $4.8-million contract to help provide security for the 2010 Olympic Games, the company said yesterday. The Richmond, B.C.-based technology company - also known as MDA - said it would work with the prime contractor to provide perimeter intrusion detection systems at Olympic venues. MDA employs more than 3,200 people in Canada, the United States and Britain. MDA (TSX) fell 88 cents to $30.22.
