Canadian stocks extended the longest winning streak of 2006, led by producers of raw materials including Teck Cominco on higher zinc and gold prices. The S&P/TSX composite index closed over the 12,000 mark for the second time in its history and within 25 points of a record. The five-day climb is the best winning streak since December.
