AURORA, ON, Sept. 14 /CNW/ - 4-time Gemini award winner Peter Keleghan stars in the Off-Broadway success Fully Committed which launches a ten week tour September 27 at the Vaughan City Playhouse Theatre. Presented by Mayfair Productions, the award-winning play travels to nine Southern Ontario cities this fall.
The devastatingly funny one-man act takes the audience on a raucous and wild ride through a day in the life of Sam Peliczowski, an out-of-work actor who mans the red-hot reservation line in Manhattan's trendiest restaurant. Using coercion, threats, bribes, and histrionics - a cast of desperate callers will stop at nothing in their zeal to land a prime reservation, or the right table. Amid the barrage, the hapless Sam has his own needs to contend with. While juggling scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and egomaniacal bosses, Sam balances calls from chatty family members and selfish fellow workers with true heart and soul in contrast to the soulless mob around him.
A wonderful acting challenge written by Becky Mode, award-winning actor Peter Keleghan (best known for his comedic roles in The Newsroom, Made in Canada and The Red Green Show), award-winning Director David Ferry and award- winning Designer Glenn Davidson will bring you to tears within minutes.
