DEQ Systems Concludes the Acquisition of Nevada Side Betting Company DP Stud

LEVIS, Aug. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - DEQ Systems Corp. (TSX-V: DEQ), announced today the closing of the acquisition of DP Stud inc., a privately held Las Vegas Nevada based company specialised in the leasing of electronic gaming systems.

This transaction is in accordance with the previously announced intention to purchase DP Stud on June 27th 2005. The total purchase price is US$2,700,000 paid as follows: US$1,350,000 in cash and US$1,350,000 by the issue of 1,659,960 common shares of DEQ at a deemed price of CA$1,00 per share.

As previously disclosed, the acquisition will allow DEQ Systems Corp. to penetrate the Nevada market through the established commercial presence of DP Stud. DP Stud is the exclusive supplier of Caribbean Stud Poker in Nevada. DP Stud's products are present in the most prestigious casinos in Nevada. This acquisition provides the strategic visibility for the introduction and accelerated commercialization of DEQ's products.
