Wednesday, December 17, 2003
CINCINNATI, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Think you have the electrifying beauty it takes to star in a Noxzema(R) advertising campaign? Now's your chance to prove it!
Noxzema and Ford Models announce the launch of the first-ever "Noxzema Girl Search," a nationwide campaign designed to discover the next fresh-faced "Noxzema Girl." Renowned for introducing the faces of several iconic beauties, Noxzema and Ford Models are searching for a radiant all-American beauty who's ready to light up the pages of an upcoming Noxzema advertising campaign. Former "Noxzema Girls" include Courteney Cox Arquette, Carol Alt, Christie Brinkley, Cybill Shepherd, Cheryl Tiegs, Mariel Hemingway and Rebecca Gayheart.
"The 'Noxzema Girl' has always captured the natural beauty of the girl-next-door and the brand's advertising campaigns have helped launch the careers of many beautiful and talented women. We are thrilled to partner with Noxzema to help discover new and exciting talent. This campaign is a great opportunity for young women who are looking to break into the modeling or entertainment industry," said Katie Ford, CEO of Ford Models.
From December 16, 2003 through January 30, 2004, young women ages 18 to 34 can log on to www.noxzema.com to enter the "Noxzema Girl Search." In addition to appearing in an upcoming Noxzema advertising campaign, the winner will also receive a one-year $25,000 Ford modeling contract, an appearance in an exclusive "Noxzema Girl Search" advertisement in the September 2004 issue of Cosmopolitan and a walk-on role on the Emmy Award-Winning soap opera As The World Turns.
"The look of Noxzema products has certainly evolved over the years, but the look of a 'Noxzema Girl' goes unchanged and is forever recognizable. We are excited to select a new 'Noxzema Girl' to represent the fresh, radiant beauty the Noxzema brand stands for today," said Amy Spera, Brand Manager for Noxzema.
In their search for the next "Noxzema Girl", Noxzema and Ford Models are looking for women with the perfect combination of natural beauty and vibrant personality -- someone with charisma and energy that shines through in every photograph. To enter, hopeful "Noxzema Girls" will need to submit photographs and a 100-word personal essay describing why they should be the next "Noxzema Girl."
Three finalists will be selected in March 2004 and flown to New York City for a photo shoot and private consultation with a Ford modeling scout. The three finalists will then be revealed in an exclusive advertisement in the June issue of Cosmopolitan and online at www.noxzema.com. From May 14, 2004 through June 14, 2004, America can log on to www.noxzema.com to vote for the winner of the "Noxzema Girl Search." The winner will be revealed in an exclusive "Noxzema Girl Search" advertisement in the September issue of Cosmopolitan and online at www.noxzema.com.
