VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 22, 2005) - UGL Enterprises Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:UGS)

Mr. G. Arnold Armstrong, President of UGL Enterprises Ltd. ("UGL") announces that exploration is set to begin on UGL's Maikhan Uranium Project in Dornod Province, Mongolia. This phase is the beginning of multifaceted programs designed to further advance the discovery property in an efficient and timely manner. Canadian 43-101 qualified geologist Mr. Glenn S. Griesbach has been appointed Uranium Exploration Program Manager for all UGL Enterprises Mongolian uranium properties including Maikhan. Mr. Griesbach brings to UGL Enterprises 25 years of international geological experience. In addition to exploring for uranium in Canada's Northwest Territories for AGIP Canada Ltd. Mr. Griesbach has also worked with several other mineral exploration companies and producers including Cominco Ltd, Falconbridge Ltd and Barrick Gold Corporation. Mr. Griesbach has managed numerous exploration programs throughout Canada, Indonesia, Iran, Northern and Southern China and Mongolia.

The Maikhan Uranium property is located in North Eastern Mongolia on the border between the Mongolian provinces of Khentii and Dornod. Dornod province hosts two of the largest uranium deposits ever discovered in Mongolia(i): The Gurvanbulag and The Dornod deposits with (Gurvanbulag) 22.7 million lbs of 0.245% U3O8 (including 19.2 million lbs U) and 19 million lbs grading 0.136% U3O8 (including 16.1 million lbs U) and (Dornod) 40.1 million lbs of U3O8 grading 0.26% and including 34 million lbs U) respectively.

(i) (based on 1987 Russian classification reports citing C1 and C2 Russian resource estimates).

Uranium was discovered on UGL's Maikhan property during Russian work programs conducted in the spring/summer of 1976. A significant amount of historical work was conducted on Maikhan by the Russians, including a reported 11,700m of trenching that resulted in the delineation of a 5km long and 50-70m thick northwest-southeast trending uranium zone with reported assay results of up to 0.65% U (One lb of "U" uranium = 1.18 lbs of U308).

Uranium on Maikhan is hosted in Jurassic quartz-feldsar porphyry with associated hematite, argillite and kaolinite. UGL intends to expand on and verify previous discovery zones on Maikhan. UGL has also applied for additional contiguous and non-contiguous licenses surrounding their Maikhan discovery property as well as additional licenses in other uranium prospective areas located throughout Dornod province.

In early April, UGL will commence exploration of the Maikhan property. The proposed program will commence with detailed prospecting of the entire property using GR-130G and GIS-W32 model spectrometers. In addition to unexplored regions on Maikhan the most prospective sections of the existing Russian trenches will be re-excavated as required and re-sampled.

The GIS-W32 spectrometers will provide the data required to construct radioelement maps. The GIS-W32 spectrometers will also be used for detailed radioelement mapping of the known uranium showings as well as new showings that may be discovered.

In addition to the radioactive element prospecting, standard geological mapping and rock sampling of the property and showings will also be performed. A number of base metal showings (Mo, Pb, Zn) will also be investigated as part of the program. UGL will determine if a geochemical sampling program is merited.

Mr. G. Arnold Armstrong President/CEO of UGL, comments "We are very pleased to add a project of this quality and potential to our Uranium portfolio, the grades reported and the size of the zone gives UGL and it's shareholders exposure to potential success during the upcoming exploration phase." Mr. Armstrong further states, "UGL's commitment to Mongolia continues. Over the past two seasons, through exploration and drilling, we have considerably advanced our Gold and Copper portfolio within the country and we plan on continuing to build and develop our Mongolian uranium portfolio."

UGL is currently reviewing data on a series of other advanced uranium projects inside Mongolia. UGL Enterprises has (3) uranium and (6) gold and/or copper exploration projects located throughout Mongolia. The Company has a strategic alliance with Mine Info Ltd., a leading Mongolian Exploration company, and has a full time office in Mongolia's capital city, Ulaan Baatar.

UGL Enterprises Ltd. is a junior resource company trading on the TSX-Venture Exchange under the trading symbol "UGS".
