Grant Thornton LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip B. Noble, FCA as its new Executive Partner and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 31, 2008. He succeeds Alex MacBeath, who has been appointed as Global Leader, Privately Held Business Services, Grant Thornton International.

Phil joined the firm in 1983, and was admitted to the partnership in 1990. Most recently, he held the role of National Managing Partner and previously he served as Managing Partner of the firm s Greater Vancouver business unit for more than nine years. Phil has also served as Chair of the firm s National Policy Board, and is a member of the Board of Governors of Grant Thornton International. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. In 2007, Phil was awarded a Fellowship in the Institute for his ongoing leadership in the profession and the community.
