Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Wright to the position of Senior Vice-President and Head, Wealth Management, International Banking. Mr. Wright will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the wealth management strategy for international Banking, including the Bank’s offshore investment business, international mutual funds, international brokerage operations and private banking.

Prior to joining International Banking in 2006, Mr. Wright worked at Scotia McLeod and Scotiabank’s domestic wealth management unit for two decades. Mr. Wright received his HBBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and has completed additional studies at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Schulich School of Business, Toronto and is presently a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

For the past 20 years, Mr. Wright has been a supporter of the United Way of Greater Toronto. In 2006, he held the position of United Way Employee Campaign Chair, helping the Scotiabank employee campaign surpass its goal of raising $5 million. Currently, Mr. Wright sits on the Board of Casey House Hospice.
