Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of McGill University, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Marc Weinstein as Vice-Principal (Development and Alumni Relations - DAR).
As the driving force behind McGill's largest and most ambitious fundraising campaign to date, Mr. Weinstein will continue to apply his strong collegiality, strategic talents and outstanding leadership to our development mission, as well as to enhancing relations with alumni, volunteers, parents and friends of McGill. He will also ensure that McGill attracts the resources required to remain competitive at home and abroad, support international orientation, and solidify our position as Canada's flagship university for research, scholarship and student-centred learning.
Mr. Weinstein holds BA, BCL and LLB degrees from McGill and a MA from York University. His professional background includes roles as an attorney and a legal consultant and over 11 years in fundraising, overseeing several multi-million-dollar campaigns.
Mr. Weinstein's appointment was effective April 8th, 2008.
