Lesley D. Watson, OAA, MRAIC
The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) is pleased to announce its 2004 President, Lesley D. Watson, OAA, MRAIC. Ms. Watson has served on OAA Council since 2000, most recently as Senior Vice President and Treasurer (2003) and Vice President National Relations (2002). Ms. Watson is a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC).
During her time on Council, Ms. Watson has chaired the OAA Continuing Education Review Steering Committee, Practice Committee, and the Communications and Outreach Committee.
In her community of Ottawa, Ms. Watson is actively involved in the Ottawa Regional Society of Architects, and was chair of the joint OAA/RAIC annual conference held in 2000.
Ms. Watson is Managing Partner of Watson MacEwen Architects. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Carleton University.
The Ontario Association of Architects is a self-regulating, self-governing profession under the Architects Act. The Association governs its members and regulates the practice of architecture in Ontario in order that the public interest may be served and protected. As part of its regulatory mandate, the Association delivers a wide range of programs and services to its members and the public.
