Howard Grosfield, President & CEO, American Express Canada, and Tom Bligh, Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Americas, American Express Global Business Travel, are pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Temple to the position of Vice-President & General Manager, Business Travel, American Express Canada.

As leader of Global Business Travel, Colin is responsible for developing and driving the business strategy for Business Travel in Canada. Canada is a critical market for the Global Business Travel organization, representing a large base of existing and potential clients with local and global business needs. Colin is a seasoned leader with an excellent track record in driving transformation & growth, and delivering value to customers. He is a member of the Canadian Executive team, and is responsible for strategically aligning Global Business Travel with other American Express Canada business units to deliver high quality products and services.

Colin joined American Express in London, England in 1989, where for the next ten years he held a number of roles of increasing responsibility in the merchant organization. In 2000, Colin moved to American Express head offices in New York to join the Strategic Relationship Group responsible for developing relationships with high-profile merchant partners and new industry development. Prior to moving to Canada, Colin was responsible for regional client development for the western U.S., based in California. Since 2009, Colin has been the head of the Merchant Services Business in Canada. He has also held a number of external board positions, and currently represents American Express on the Canadian Bankers Association Senior Payments Group.
