Anne Marie ODonovan
Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne Marie O’Donovan to the position of Senior Vice-President and Chief Auditor. In her new position, Ms. O’Donovan will be responsible for producing independent, objective reviews of the quality and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes for Scotiabank and its subsidiaries. In this new role, she will report to the Audit and Conduct Review Committee of the Board of Directors.
Ms. O’Donovan joined the Bank in September, 2004. Most recently, she was Senior Vice-President and Deputy Chief Auditor. Prior to her appointment at Scotiabank, Ms. O’Donovan was a partner with Ernst & Young, where she led their North American Enterprise Risk Management practice. Ms. O’Donovan graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, in 1982 with an Honours degree in Business Administration, and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario since 1984.
