Heenan Blaikie LLP is pleased to announce that Mark Newton has joined its Toronto office as a pensions and benefits lawyer.

Mark is well recognized as a leading pensions and benefits law expert. He brings almost 25 years of experience advising on pensions and benefits issues in the context of plan governance, mergers and acquisitions, collective bargaining, insolvencies, employment agreements, executive compensation and income tax. An active member of several professional associations, Mark is currently Chair of the Pensions and Benefits Section of the Ontario Bar Association, and Founding Chair of the National Pensions and Benefits Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association. Mark has spoken and published extensively in the area.
