John Maduri, Executive Vice-President and President of TELUS Business Solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mario Mannella as Vice-President, Marketing. Mario will be responsible for developing innovative and integrated Internet Protocol (IP), voice and wireless offers for customers in Canada's small and medium enterprise market.

Mario joined TELUS in August 1996 as Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at TELUS Advanced Communications. In just three years, he helped propel the company from a start-up with no revenues to a leading-edge data and Internet company with more than $325 million in revenue. He also developed the national business plan that led to the formation of a new business unit focused on Central and Eastern Canada.

His previous experience includes nine years with Digital Equipment of Canada, where he was Canadian marketing manager and a sales executive, and five years in information technology at Alcan Aluminum.

Mario is a recognized leader in Canada's data and Internet industry and a member of the Board of CANARIE, Canada's Advanced Internet Development Organization. He holds a diploma in Business Administration from Cambrian College of Applied Arts & Technology.
