The partners of Heenan Blaikie are pleased to announce that Paul M. Lalonde, R. Gail Goodman and Stanley W.L. Freedman have joined their Toronto office.
Mr. Lalonde will be continuing his federal law practice, focusing primarily on international trade and transactions, business law, public procurement, government relations, administrative law and aboriginal affairs. He will be principally based in Toronto but will continue to serve his Ottawa clients out of the firm's Ottawa office.
Mrs. Goodman specializes in litigation with an emphasis on insurance, benefits, commercial and corporate disputes, employment and human rights law. Prior to joining Heenan Blaikie, she was Associate General Counsel at Aetna Life Insurance Company of Canada in charge of litigation.
Mr. Freedman will be continuing his business law practice, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, international trade, corporate finance, licensing and franchising, and partnership/shareholder issues. He is Assistant Head (Corporate) of the Business Law Section of the Bar Admission Course for the Law Society of Upper Canada.
