Arthur Sawchuk, Chairman of the Board, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert E. Dineen Jr. and Pierre Y. Ducros to Manulife Financial's Board of Directors.
Mr. Dineen is a Partner of Shearman & Stirling of New York City, with extensive experience in international financial transactions. His Directorships include Nova Chemicals Corporation and Resources for Children with Special Needs. Mr. Dineen is a member of the American Bar Association -- Section of Corporation, Banking and Business Law.
Mr. Ducros is President, P. Ducros & Associates Inc. in Montréal. Previously, he was Chairman, President & Chief Executive officer of DMR Group Inc., and Vice-Chairman of the Task Force on The Future of The Canadian Financial Services Sector (MacKay Task Force). His Directorships include Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., BCE Emergis, Cognos Inc., and Lévesque Beaubien & Company. He is presently Chairman of the Board of Canadian Marconi Company and President of the University of Québec in Montréal.
