Paul Lucas, President and CEO of GlaxoSmithKline Inc. (GSK), is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Lapointe to Vice-President, Human Resources, responsible for leading the company’s Canadian HR function, which includes support for GSK’s various business units across the country – Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Healthcare, Biologicals, ViiV Healthcare, Global Manufacturing & Supply, and Research & Development.
Ms. Lapointe joined GSK in January 2011 from Nelnet, where she served as Executive Director, People Services and Organizational Development, and was an active member of the North American leadership team. With more than 20 years of progressive HR experience in a variety of industries in both Canada and the United States, Ms. Lapointe will be a great asset to the GSK Executive Team, bringing a wealth of knowledge in the areas of strategic change leadership, employee engagement and talent development.
Ms. Lapointe holds a Bachelor of Arts (English) degree from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Administrative Studies degree from York University, and a Global Professional Human Resource Designation from the HR Certification Institute.
