Christian Jacqui
From The Globe and Mail

Pierre Duhaime is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Jacqui to the position of Executive Vice-President of SNC-Lavalin’s activities in Europe. As of January 2, 2012, Mr. Jacqui succeeds Jean Claude Pingat as President of SNC-Lavalin in Europe, and becomes a member of the Office of the President. Christian Jacqui will continue to follow the company’s growth strategy, particularly in concessions, a sector the company has operated in successfully for many years.

Mr. Jacqui’s proven skills in directing large-scale international projects and driving profitable and sustainable growth provide an excellent background for his new position. His broad experience in various engineering fields where SNC-Lavalin is already solidly established in the European market will undoubtedly help the company achieve its development objectives.

An engineer and graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers in France, Christian Jacqui has more than 20 years of international experience in engineering, project management and corporate leadership, particularly in Europe and Asia. Over the course of his career, he has acquired solid expertise in the energy sector at Séchilienne-Sidec and Areva, in transportation at Alstom and in infrastructure at Spie Batignolles and Saur.

Also effective January 2, 2012, Jean Claude Pingat is named Honorary President and Founder, Europe, a non-executive position in which he will share his extensive knowledge of European markets with Mr. Jacqui. He will continue to put his 40-plus years of experience in engineering to work for SNC-Lavalin’s ongoing development.

SNC-Lavalin is one of the leading engineering and construction groups in the world and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure, and in the provision of operations and maintenance services. SNC-Lavalin has offices across Canada and in over 40 other countries around the world, and is currently working in some 100 countries.
