Cameco is pleased to announce the appointment of Grant Isaac as Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer.
Grant Isaac joined Cameco as Senior Vice-President, Corporate Services in July 2009.
In his new role as CFO, Grant is responsible for directing the finance, treasury and business technology services departments at Cameco. He also has responsibility for corporate strategy as Cameco pursues its growth plan to increase uranium production from its worldwide assets.
Before joining Cameco, he was dean of the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. During his time as a faculty member there, Grant’s focus was on commercialization of technology products, including strategic management of intellectual property, as well as international trade and regulations.
Grant attained undergraduate and master’s degrees in economics from the University of Saskatchewan, and a PhD from the London School of Economics.
Cameco, with its head office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is one of the world’s largest uranium producers. The company’s uranium products are used to generate electricity in nuclear energy plants around the world, providing one of the cleanest sources of energy available today.
