Patricia A. Hammick
SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Patricia A. Hammick to the Board of Directors.
Ms. Hammick brings over 30 years of experience in oil and gas, power, U.S. energy utilities and mining to her new position. She began her energy-related career in 1976 as a senior analyst with the American Petroleum Institute, and has worked in increasingly senior positions at Gulf Oil Exploration and Production Company and the Natural Gas Supply Association in Washington, DC, and at the Columbia Energy Group in Virginia.
Between 2001 and 2006, Ms. Hammick was an independent corporate board member at Consol Energy Inc., an energy-related, Fortune 500 company, and a former lecturer at George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. Since 2003, she has also been lead director at a second Fortune 500 company, Dynegy Inc.
She is currently a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Arthur Page Society, a former director of the National Energy Education Development Project and the National Energy Resources Organization in the U.S., and a former member of the National Investor Relations Institute and the Advisory Council - Gas Research Institute.
Ms. Hammick obtained a Ph.D. Mathematical Statistics in 1989 from George Washington University, an M.A., Physics in 1970 from the University of California, Riverside and a B.A., Chemical Physics and Mathematics in 1968 from Rice University, cum laude.
