NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. Chairman Michael C. Burns is proud to announce a new world class team that will lead the Company through the construction, development and operation of the proposed NaiKun offshore wind project in Hecate Strait.

NaiKun Wind Development Inc. (DevCo)

NaiKun Wind Development Inc. (DevCo) has the responsibility to plan, design, permit and arrange financing for the first phase of the NaiKun project. DevCo brings together all of the complex elements necessary to propose an energy purchase agreement to BC Hydro.

Steven Eckert, P. Eng. MBA, President and CEO, DevCo

Mr. Eckert has more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector and a solid foundation in project development, financing and contracting strategies. Most recently, he worked with Constellation Energy developing energy projects, focusing on renewable fuels and cogeneration. He previously served as consultant to BC Hydro in several capacities, including business development, project redevelopment, contracting strategies and commercial risk management. He has also served as the Senior Vice-President of Duke Energy’s Latin America operations.

NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. (TSX-V: NKW) is a Vancouver-based energy company that has traded on the TSX Venture Exchange (and its predecessors) since 1967. Since 2000, the company has focused on renewable energy. Its subsidiary, NaiKun Wind Development Inc., is engaged in the development of a major offshore wind project off the coast of British Columbia in an area known as the Haida Energy Field.
