Perry Dellelce, Chair of Sunnybrook Foundationís Board of Directors, is honoured to announce the appointment of Dr. Jon S. Dellandrea, C.M. as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sunnybrook Foundation.

Dr. Dellandrea will be an excellent ambassador for Sunnybrook Foundation, as he brings a global perspective and proven expertise as an internationally renowned philanthropic leader to the Foundation.

Effective April 2, 2012, Dr. Dellandrea will lead the Foundation team and work with Sunnybrook's volunteers and donors to ensure Sunnybrook has a sustainable base of philanthropic support in order to deliver innovative care to those who count on Sunnybrook at critical times in their lives.

Sunnybrook's vision is to invent the future of health care. Through the Campaign for Sunnybrook, an ambitious $470-million fundraising effort, Sunnybrook is discovering the cures, designing the treatments and providing the most advanced care for patients here in Toronto, across Canada and around the world.

Dr. Dellandrea, the former Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Development and External Affairs) at the University of Oxford, currently serves as Counsel to the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. As Vice-President and Chief Development Officer at the University of Toronto, he headed the single largest fundraising campaign in the history of Canadian Universities, raising more than $1.2 billion. Dr. Dellandrea has received numerous awards, including the Order of Canada; the Laureate Award of the Institute for Charitable Giving in the United States; the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education; and the Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award from the National Society of Fundraising Executives.
