Darren Entwistle, TELUS President and CEO, is pleased to announce the appointment of François Côté to the position of Executive Vice-President and President of both TELUS Québec and TELUS Health Solutions. François will apply his proven leadership skills to further expand the company’s strong presence in Quebec while advancing TELUS’ national health care strategy through investment in innovative information, communications and technology applications.
François’ 28-year career has given him first-hand business experience and deep insight into the health sector and the dynamic telecommunications industry. Formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of Emergis, a publicly traded company, François was named President of TELUS Health Solutions following the company’s acquisition by TELUS in January, 2008.
Prior to joining TELUS, François held a variety of management positions during a career that spanned 21 years at Bell Canada. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from Laval University. In 2007, he was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the category of Turnaround Entrepreneur for the Quebec region. François serves on the boards of the Montreal Heart Institute (Institut de Cardiologie de Montréal) and Acti-Menu, and is a member of the Board of Governors for the Fondation de la tolérance (Conseil des Gouverneurs).
