Kenneth Cory, Ph.D.
Don Lowry, President and CEO, EPCOR Utilities Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kenneth Cory as Executive Vice-President, Finance and Administration. He is responsible for leading EPCOR's corporate and financial strategy development, and overseeing its finance, planning, risk management, supply chain, and information technology functions.
Prior to joining EPCOR, Dr. Cory was Chief Executive Officer of V3 Technologies, a start-up renewable power generation company.
His background includes more than 12 years of industry experience in strategy /financial management that includes serving as the head of strategy for two Fortune 500 companies. At Calpine Corporation, Dr. Cory was Vice-President, Corporate Strategy, responsible for strategy formulation, market/price forecasting, and new technology development. He was also head of corporate planning and development for TXU Corporation, an international integrated utility, power, and gas company.
Dr. Cory began his career as a professor, teaching strategic management and finance in both Florida and Texas. He holds a PhD in Strategic Management from Texas A&M University, and a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of South Florida.
