Marian Walsh, President and CEO of Bridgepoint Health, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Corcoran as Chair, Bridgepoint Health Foundation Board of Directors.

Four years ago Mr. Corcoran led the transition to the new brand of Bridgepoint Health while serving as Chair, The Riverdale Hospital Board of Directors. Mr. Corcoran returned to Bridgepoint Health this past fall after a two-year break and resumed an affiliation that dates back to 1997.

Mr. Corcoran, regarded as a specialist in corporate restructuring and performance management, is Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, NexgenRx Inc. An active participant in voluntary sector governance, Mr. Corcoran has served as Governor, University of Waterloo; Director, Granite Club; Chair, Presidentís Advisory Council, University of Waterloo; Chair, Board of Governors, Crescent School; Director, National Ballet of Canada; President & Chair, Ontario Chamber of Commerce; Director, Canadian Chamber of Commerce; Director, YMCA Youth Enterprise Centres of Canada; and is a proud recipient of the 1992 "Canada in Confederation" medal.

BRIDGEPOINT HEALTH is a publicly funded, not-for-profit, integrated health services organization focused on providing a continuum of care for patients in the Greater Toronto Area who require specialized complex care. Bridgepoint services include complex rehabilitation and complex care. The Bridgepoint Health network comprises Bridgepoint Hospital, Bridgepoint Health Research Institute, Bridgepoint Centre for Living (a soon to be constructed long-term care centre), Bridgepoint Community Rehab (a community-based rehabilitation service) and Bridgepoint Health Foundation, which supports the programming and development goals of Bridgepoint Health.
