Subsequent to the recent acquisition of A&P Canada, Mr. Pierre H. Lessard, President and Chief Executive Officer of METRO INC., is pleased to announce the following appointments and organizational changes:

Alain Brisebois, formerly Senior Vice-President, Wholesale Operations, becomes Senior Executive Vice-President of A&P Canada. As such, he will be responsible for all A&P Canada and Loeb Canada operations. He has been with METRO INC. for over 19 years and has held several key positions in merchandising, procurement and distribution.

Alain Brisebois reports to Eric Richer La Flèche.

With annualized sales of nearly $11 billion and more than 65,000 employees, METRO INC. is a leader in the food and pharmaceutical sectors in Quebec and Ontario where it operates a network of close to 600 food stores under the Metro, Metro Plus, Super C, A&P, Dominion, Loeb and Food Basics banners, as well as more than 250 pharmacies under the Brunet, Clini-Plus, The Pharmacy and Drug Basics banners.
