BMO Capital Markets is pleased to announce the appointment of Egizio Bianchini to the position of Vice-Chair.
With over 20 years of industry experience, he is one of the world’s most highly regarded investment banking professionals to the global metals & mining sector.
Mr. Bianchini joined BMO Capital Markets in 1989, and was a top-ranked equity research analyst covering precious metals stocks. Since 2001, he has led the investment & corporate banking metals and mining practice and currently serves as co-head.
Mr. Bianchini was instrumental in establishing BMO’s Beijing, Mumbai, Melbourne and London metals & mining coverage efforts. Over the last five years, Mr. Bianchini and the metals and mining team advised on more than $80 billion worth of transactions and assisted clients with corporate development objectives. He also spearheaded an ambitious growth plan during this time that saw the metals & mining practice grow from a handful of people to over 55 professionals around the world.
As Vice-Chair, Mr. Bianchini will continue to serve as co-head of BMO’s metals and mining practice. He will concentrate on the continued growth of the group and the development of key client relationships.
Mr. Bianchini holds an MBA from The University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from University of Toronto.
