Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Barclay to the position of Senior Vice-President, ISS Wholesale Banking Operations. In his new position, Mr. Barclay will be responsible for Wholesale Banking Operations which supports the Global Trading and Corporate Lending businesses of Scotia Capital and Scotiabankís Group Treasury, money transfer and correspondent banking services.
Mr. Barclay joined Scotiabank in 1998 as Vice-President of Derivative Operations. Most recently, he was Vice-President of Global Trading Operations, responsible for supporting Scotia Capitalís derivative and foreign exchange businesses, group treasury and corporate lending.
Mr. Barclay is on the board of the National Cancer Institute of Canada, where he is the treasurer. He graduated from Bishopís University with a Bachelor of Science and is also a Chartered Accountant.
