Ed Kilroy, Chief Executive Officer, Symcor Inc., is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Phil Armstrong as Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer.

A seasoned technology executive, Mr. Armstrong is a strategic addition to the senior executive team and is responsible for the company’s ongoing technology strategy including Symcor’s technology roadmap and delivery of client-centric solutions that support the business strategies. He will lead all technology development, deployment, architecture and infrastructure functions globally.

Mr. Armstrong most recently served as Senior Vice-President, Corporate Chief Technology Officer at Manulife Financial, and has 28 years of technology and business operations experience within the financial services, investment and insurance industries, both in Canada and internationally.

He graduated in 1998 from York University with a Bachelor degree in Administrative Studies.
