J. Craig Applegath,
OAA, FRAIC, B.Sci., M.Arch.UD.
The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) is pleased to announce its 2002 President, J. Craig Applegath, OAA, FRAIC, B.Sci., M.Arch.UD. Mr. Applegath has served on OAA Council since 1997, most recently as Senior Vice President and Treasurer (2001) and Vice President Internal Relations (2000). Mr. Applegath is a fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
During his time on Council, Mr. Applegath has led the development and implementation of key components of the OAA Professional Excellence Program, including the business handbook Mastering the Business of Architecture, and the mandatory OAA Continuing Education Program.
Mr. Applegath is a Principal, and Director of Sustainable Design and Architectural Services, at Dunlop Architects Inc. in Toronto, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design. He received his Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.
The OAA is a self-regulating, self-governing profession under the Architects Act. The Association governs its members and regulates the practice of architecture in Ontario in order that the public interest may be served and protected.
