Allan F. Leach
Jacques Lamarre, President and Chief Executive Officer of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Allan F. Leach to the Board of Directors
Mr. Leach was formerly the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, a post to which he was appointed after his election to the Ontario legislature in 1995. As Minister, he was responsible for the province's local government system, land-use planning, and housing policies and programs.
Prior to his election, he was general manager and chief executive officer of the Toronto Transit Commission, from 1987 to 1995, and managing director and chief executive officer of GO Transit, Canada's largest commuter rail service, from 1977 to 1987.
Mr. leach has served as a member of the American Public Transit Association, which named him Transit Manager of the Year in 1994, of the Canadian Urban Transit Association, the Transportation Association of Canada and the Metropolitan Toronto Board of Trade.
