Jacques Lamarre, President and Chief Executive Officer of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc., is pleased to announce that Taro Alepian, Executive Vice- President and a member of the Office of the President, will now be responsible for the overall corporate development of the Company.
Mr. Alepian will develop, plan and implement the Company's business strategy and oversee SNC-Lavalin's growth, both domestically and internationally, through acquisitions, new market strategies and the establishment of major corporate alliances.
The appointment of an accomplished executive to this strategic leadership position demonstrates SNC-Lavalin's commitment to growth and increased shareholder value.
During his 25-year career with SNC-Lavalin, Mr. Alepian has led numerous operating divisions of the company. In his new role, he will also be responsible for Human Resources, Legal Affairs, Information Technology, the Risk Evaluation Committee, the Innovation Committee, the Quality Policy and a number of major projects around the world. And, until a new Chief Financial Officer is appointed, he will take on this responsibility on an interim basis, including Investor Relations.
